and the froward mouth, do I hate. - But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
- See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
- Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
- Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
- Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- Be not wise in thine own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel,
and marrow to thy bones. - Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:
he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. - Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. - I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
- Depart from evil, and do good;
seek peace, and pursue it. - And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
- Wash you, make you clean;
put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil. - Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. - And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
- Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
